Buying Behind the Scenes - Hype Spring Summer 2017 Season
Posted on 12 August 2016
UK Kolours like to keep one step ahead of the trends. Picking the koolest offerings from the newest brand collections is no easy task but it is certainly fun. Tagging along to a meeting with our favourite Midlands export Hype, I got a sneak preview of their latest design ideas to come for Spring Summer 2017.
Strong use of texture, prints and metallics feature heavily again. Doing what they do best, the creative team blend texture with the seasons favoured colour palette - marble, folliage, speckles and paint effects.Taking the mundane and twisting it on its head with funky detailing, adding depth with ribbing and panels.
A trend that stood out with the brands I viewed at Jacket Required has also made an appearance over at Hype. Cool, earthy tones and nature inspired prints, feature in Hype's newest offerings both in apparel and accessories. One of our original favourites the classic Script Crew in shades of stone, khaki and inky blue. New backpack styles in similar hints of colour, blending fashion and function. Military influences - multiple pockets, mesh overlays and clip belt fastenings. Rugged but refined.
Looking through the new collection the lovely Liam, head of design and Hype, pointed out some of his favourite pieces for the coming season. A little sneak peek of what is on our order sheet here at UK Kolours, is the hooded zip up top from the Tech Pack collection. A new sub-range from Hype, Liam says this is a definite must have! With fine branded taping and rubber trims this hoodie has a seriously cool edge.
We alway like to be ahead of the game here at UK Kolours and and it was certainly great to see what trends are coming down the line for next year. Keep an eye on our Hype collection page for all the new and latest styles.
