Barbour International Jackets
The signature Waxed Jacket, a timeless heritage design that has sat right in the heart of the Barbour brand since their story began in 1894. This iconic piece has stayed with and grown alongside the Barbour brand throughout five family generations and has continued to stay as a key item in everyone’s wardrobes. This truly British brand was born in the North East of the UK countryside, the headquarters remaining there today. It’s right next door to these headquarters where the Wax Jacket continues to be made. Each jacket being hand crafted to the highest quality, creating a durable piece designed to last.
Barbour have continued to be an outerwear specialist creating timeless collections of premium ready-to-wear clothing, designed to see you through any season. Their designs are authentic and rich in heritage, with a perfect mix of traditional and contemporary colours and prints. Barbour offer something for everyone, men, women, children and even dogs! Their ranges always include the signature wax jacket, alongside their increasingly popular quilted and padded jackets, a great option for day-to-day wear.
Barbour International came onto the scene in 1936. The International was as a once-piece suit designed and brought to life by keen motorcyclist Duncan Barbour. This suit was a huge triumph across the motorcycling industry, being worn by the majority of drivers in the International Six Day Trails from the 1950’s to the 1970’s. Leading on from this success Barbour International launched as its own brand, celebrating the motorcycling culture and heritage.
Barbour and Barbour International now stand alongside each other as separate brands, but both with great stories to tell. Celebrating different backgrounds and giving everyone an opportunity to make Barbour their own.
