Palladium Boots

For more than 70 years Palladium have been making footprints in history. Originally established by a French company in 1920, it was WWI’s answer to durable and comfortable footwear. The materials used were perfect for the desert conditions in North Africa. Canvas was a great material for mud, grass, and wetlands because it was breathable and dried quickly. This insured the shoes were timeless and adaptable, giving explorers and soldiers the freedom to embrace the unexpected.

This inspired the creation of Pallabrousse and Pampa boots which made history as part of the uniform for one of the world's most legendary forces. These have gone on to be resistant to the elements, to wear and tear, to time and trends making them an everlasting staple!

Over the years, Palladium boots have been worn by the French foreign legion, famous volcanologists, film makers, and even grunge rock punks for their ability to go from the mosh pit to the open road. Taking over the New York art scene, the Palladium Pampa boots made a come back in the 80’s, as an all-black military boot in both canvas and leather. After being known for decades for their canvas boots, many people started to turn to their leather models. As they captured the spirit of the moment with a mix of low-key functionality and rock-and-roll cool.

The innovative Pallatennis sneakers were both lightweight and stylish. Palladium were constantly developing new models and supported sporting champions like Alain Gilles and Patrice Dominguez. This revolutionary brand even managed to design one of the lightest sports shoes ever created! Solidifying their presence in the sports arena, after being famous for their efforts and contributions in the battlefield.

In the last 10 years Palladium have collaborated with some of the world’s most influential brands. Their partnering with Stussy birthed the Pampa Mid, as both brands shared a strong foundation in classic sportswear. They have also teamed up with Billionaire Boys Club, Atmos and Christopher Raeburn. The brand has continued to align themselves with urban millennials, young rappers, and YouTubers.

Since its inception several celebrities have proudly sported the brand including; actors Brad Pitt, Robert Pattinson, musicians such and Pharell Williams and Little Mix, and television presenter Alexa Chung. Their involvement has been key in building the profile of the fashion brand.

Some of our favourites for Autumn Winter this year are the Pampa Hi as they have a classic look that can be dressed up with a pair of chinos or kept casual. The Pallashock Mid OG are a classic 90’s throwback, the bulky mid-cut sneakerboot are universal enabling you to create your own individual signature look.

Here at UKK we can proudly say that we are an official Palladium stockist and we receive regular deliveries of the latest styles and colours direct from the brand.
